I am passionate about both wild and domestic horses and practice Anna Twinney's Reach Out To Horses holistic methods of training - this translates to balanced, energy-conscious, leadership-based (not dominance-based), non-predatory techniques.  I have been drawn to mentors and experiences which have allowed me to develop my specialty in untouched and highly sensitive horses, such as mustangs and rescues.

My path in life has been one of many teachers and themes: horses, visionaries, seekers; humility, authenticity, congruence, empathy, intuition, and presence are all common threads among the people and life experiences that have manifest as my path unfolds before me.  What resonates most with me and ultimately led me into professional horsemanship is the horses' physical and non-physical abilities to guide people in the practice of presence, authenticity, and alignment with Spirit.

I specialize in socialization and gentling of young horses, mustangs, and abused or sensitive horses; confidence-building, ground manners, and behavior modification.  That "bad habit" your horse has?  Spooking, shying, hard to catch, difficult to load, won't stand for the vet or farrier? Let's get to the bottom of all of that and more, and discover your horse's true nature and ability to align with you.

I have a strong practical veterinary background and understanding of equine physiology, evolutionary conformation, behavior, body language, and learning patterns.  I also incorporate energetic connection and alternative modalities to expand my capabilities and connection with horses.  One of my greatest joys is in volunteering my services at local rescues and sanctuaries - assisting marginalized and discarded horses in healing and preparing them to succeed in the world of humans.

A talented and inspirational speaker, I also jump at opportunities to speak to private groups or at public gatherings on the topics of wild horse protection and management.

If you have landed at Earth and Equine and are seeking alignment with your horse on some issue, need support with a sensitive horse, or want to learn more about how horses help us to evolve, know that you have landed here for a distinct and perfectly-timed purpose for both of us.  Get ready - I will challenge you to seek your own aligned path as we work together with the horses.

As of December 2016 I currently have room for 1 to 2 new clients in the Santa Rosa area.

Reach Out To Horses Certified Trainer Program

Hands-down, my greatest (human) inspiration and most trusted mentor, as well as a treasured personal friend, is the creator and founder of Reach Out To Horses (ROTH), Anna Twinney.  As a lifelong learner, I am blessed to have become certified through Anna's "Train the Trainer" program. Train the Trainer is a two year course including case studies and several focused clinics learning the ROTH methods from Anna, designed to elevate the skill level of professional trainers.  Anna and I met in the year 2000 at Monty Roberts International Learning Center, where she was the Head Instructor.  She has been my mentor ever since, and I am proud to be the first (and currently, the ONLY) Certified ROTH Trainer in California. You can jump to the Reach Out To Horses website via the links provided on my Resources page.
